Fair in Mirca – traditional festival of Our Lady of Miraca

The Mirci Fair is held in honor of Our Lady of Mirca , the patron saint of the town. This traditional festival is held every year on July 2nd and is a combination of religious and social events that bring together locals and visitors.

Program and customs

The fair begins with a religious part , including a holy mass and a procession through the town, which is an important part of the tradition in many places on Brač.

In the evening, there will be an entertainment program in the harbor on Gumonca beach.

  • concert and live music
  • outdoor socializing
  • traditional Dalmatian atmosphere
  • fried fish, meat and wine at the stalls

These festivities, known as "fjere", are typical of the island of Brač and represent a day of community and togetherness , where local customs and ways of life are celebrated.

Atmosphere and experience

The Mirci Fair has a particularly authentic character because it is held in a small and peaceful place. Unlike larger events, it is dominated by:

  • relaxed and homely atmosphere
  • socializing with locals and guests
  • traditional food, drink, music and dance

This is an ideal opportunity for visitors to experience the true Dalmatian way of life , outside of classic tourist events.
