BASIC INFORMATION AND LOCATION

Kraj is a village on the southeastern part of the island of Pašman, 3 km south of the village of Pašman; 300 m from the coast of the Pašman Channel. The economy is based on agriculture, viticulture and olive growing. The island can be reached by ferry from Zadar, the Zadar-Preko (island of Ugljan) line and further along the state road D110 and the bridge in the village of Ždrelac. The second ferry line departs from Biograd and leads to the village of Tkon on Pašman. All villages on the island of Pašman are connected by an island road.

CULTURE, HISTORY AND ATTRACTIONS

In the village there is a Gothic Franciscan monastery with a church from 1392. The Gothic Franciscan monastery of St. Dujem from the 14th century stands out in the town. The monastery has a cloister, renovated in the 17th century in Baroque style, a painting of the Virgin Mary with Baby Jesus from the 15th century, and a museum with exhibits that tell the history of the island.

BEACHES

The area stretches along two beautiful sandy beaches, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. The golden beach of Kraj is certainly Tratica. This pearl of a small town is ideal for early mornings or hot afternoons with a drink from the nearby cafes and some good ice cream. The beach is concrete and sandy.

OTHER CONTENT

The celebration of the traditional feast of St. Our Lady of the Angels, the so-called Porcijuncula, is held every 2nd of August. In Kraj, a traditional feast is also held every year in the old stone core. A handful of traditional Dalmatian food awaits you, and there will be no shortage of good fun and music. And with the fun feast Adio lito at the end of August, you will say goodbye to the new season. The proximity of Tkon and Pašman expands the gastronomic offer.

WHAT TO DO AND EXCURSION OPPORTUNITIES

Via Tkon you can reach Biograd daily, near which are Šibenik and the Krka National Park, and the Vrana Lake Nature Park. Via Ugljan you can reach Zadar, which offers a rich cultural and entertainment scene, as well as Nin, the Northern Velebit National Park and the Velebit Nature Park, and the Zrmanja River Canyon for rafting. For those with a boat, we recommend the Kornati National Park and the Telaščica Nature Park.

Accommodation is available in private apartments and holiday homes. Nearby, on the road to Tkon, is the Torkul camp, and you have the option of Robinson-type accommodation in the settlement.
