National park Brijuni is a small archipelago situated next to the coast of Istria and near the town of Pula. It consists of 14 islands of total area of 40 km2 (Veliki Brijun, Mali Brijun, Sv. Marko, Gaz, Okrugljak, Supin, Supinic, Galija, Grunj, Vanga (Krasnica), Pusti (Madona), Vrsar, Sv. Jerolim and Kozada). Brijuni's special feature is the harmony of flora and fauna enriched by planting a variety of plants and getting different animals. If you have time for only a short visit, the best thing to do is to take the train through the safari park where you can see deer, mouflons and other animals, and other parts of the park. The island can be reached by boat from Fazane, and it leaves every hour or two. You can prolong your visit and rent a room in a hotel or a villa, and explore the offer of seafood and other specialities and fine wines in island's numerous restaurants. The park features a golf course with 18 holes, 5486 m long, 4977 m for women, (renovated in 2006) and 4 tennis courts. You can also ride a bike, play badminton and bowl. Brijuni is a paradise for boaters thanks to its numerous beautiful bays.
