In the center of the small town of Dugi Rat there is the parish church of St. Joseph. Works on this church began in 1989, according to the project of engineers Tomislav Nogolica from Metković and Vladislav Ljolja from Split, who led the works.The church of St. Joseph was erected in 1990, after which works on its decoration continued.The church is built from reinforced concrete, but is externally covered with stone.The church also houses an art-wood oak tree fragment. The cross is 5 meters high and Raspelo 3 meters, which is the work of the academic sculptor Kažimir Hrast.
