The church of St Philip Neri was built in 1758 on the central part of the coast in Makarska. The church, with its facade and bell tower, completely fits with the houses. The church was built in Baroque style, with a barrel vault and semicircular apse. It was built by bishop Stjepan Blašković in 1758. In its shape, it looks like a cathedral, only with much smaller dimensions. In 1968, the church was declared a monument of culture. Mass service is held in this church several times a year.
