BASIC INFORMATION AND LOCATION
Gradac is a municipality on the Makarska Riviera, in Split-Dalmatia County. The municipality consists of 5 settlements. They are: Brist, Drvenik, Gradac, Podaca and Zaostrog. They are located 42 kilometers from Makarska and 13 kilometers from Ploče. It is the southernmost settlement and municipality in Split-Dalmatia County. According to the latest census, it has 3,261 inhabitants. The nearest airports are in Split and Dubrovnik, from where you can reach Gradac by regular bus lines or by car, which is located on the state road D8, or the Adriatic Highway.
CULTURE, HISTORY AND ATTRACTIONS
Prehistoric findings indicate that this area was inhabited at that time. According to Constantine Porphyrogenitus, the town of Slavineca (Labineca) was located in the area of today's town. The name Gradac was first mentioned in 1642. Historical attractions in the town include the church of St. Michael, a stone tower from the 16th century, the Gradac Museum with a local collection from the 19th and 20th centuries, and the church of St. Anthony.
BEACHES
Gornja vala beach is located in the town itself, and numerous others are located along the coast near Gradac.

Numerous restaurants offer excellent cuisine. Some of them are: Kod Irene, Marinero, Nicolo Polo, Dalmatina, Gusar and Malo more. There are also the tavern Naše malo misto, pizzerias Gustirna, Stella and Amfora, as well as pastry shops and numerous coffee bars.

For those looking for an active vacation, the Gradac Riviera has a variety of amenities. Well-maintained mountain trails for walking, nearby mountains for hiking and free climbing, bike trails and many others. You can try your hand at paintball, diving, sailing and other fun sports activities.

The Gradca Tourist Board brings together hundreds of private landlords who are mainly oriented towards the Bosnian market. Among the hotels there are Laguna, Labineca, Gradac, Lukas, Neptun, Saudade, Sunce and the Marco Polo boutique hotel. You can also find accommodation at the Dedović hostel or at 4 nearby campsites.
