CULTURE, HISTORY AND ATTRACTIONS

Pisak was founded in 1500. Throughout its history, it was primarily a fishing and agricultural village. It was once the most important fishing port on the Omiš Riviera. In the 19th century, a protected fishing port was built, which gave an even greater incentive for fishing. Today, there is a small port for the local population. The town is dominated by the church of St. Mark, in the middle of old Dalmatian houses.

BEACHES

Beautiful pebble beaches stretch out on both sides of the small harbor of Pisak Bay. A little further away, there are small coves and rocky beaches that can only be reached by boat. Nearby, between Pisak and Brela, there is Vrulja Beach, in the bay of the same name, and it is attractive because of its numerous freshwater springs and isolated beaches. It can also only be reached by boat.
