BASIC INFORMATION AND LOCATION

Stanići is a small tourist town located at the foot of the Omiš Dinara mountain, 5 kilometers from Omiš, and 30 kilometers from Split towards Makarska and Dubrovnik. Its position on the slopes offers a beautiful view of the Dalmatian islands of Brač and Hvar. According to the last census, it has 502 inhabitants who are dedicated to fishing and tourism. It is located on the Adriatic Highway (D8), and the nearest airport is Resnik near Split. Regular bus lines from Split run to Stanići and the south, and one of the options is to arrive by the A1 highway to Šestanovac near Makarska.


CULTURE, HISTORY AND ATTRACTIONS

The old village of Stanići is 300 meters from the sea. It is a small settlement of about ten stone houses. The population was mainly engaged in fishing due to the lack of fertile land. With the construction of the Adriatic Highway, tourism is also developing, and the population is mainly moving along the sea, to the Velika Luka bay.


BEACHES

Beautiful pebble beaches stretching 3 kilometers long stretch to Stanići. These are Mala and Velika Luka, and Zavode.

You can find local delicacies with local wine in the restaurants Borovina and Sun City and in the pizzeria Espagna. The proximity of Omiš and Split offers numerous other options for those looking for entertainment and cultural events. Stanići is a quiet place suitable for a family vacation or for those slightly older people looking for peace and quiet.

The possibilities for an active holiday are truly vast. You can go rafting and canyoning on the Cetina River, free climbing on nearby heights, explore the historic cores of Omiš, Split and the surrounding area, go windsurfing, or hike.

In addition to the aforementioned excursions to Split, Omiš, Makarska or Dubrovnik, from Omiš you can take excursion boats to Brač or Hvar. One-day visits to the national parks of Krka, Plitvice Lakes or Biokovo Nature Park are also organized.
