BASIC INFORMATION AND LOCATION
Vinišće is a village in the municipality of Marina, in the Split-Dalmatia County. It is 12 kilometers from Trogir and 48 kilometers from Split. Vinišće is an old fishing village with 774 inhabitants. The main industry is tourism. Vinišće is located on a peninsula between Split and Šibenik. It is a bit remote from traffic because it is quite far from the Adriatic Highway (D8). Opposite, in the sea are the islands of Drvenik Veli and Mali and Krknjaši - a favorite excursion destination of the local population. There is also a small ACI marina in the village.
CULTURE, HISTORY and ATTRACTIONS
The town was first mentioned in 1271 in documents of the Trogir chapter, but the time of its foundation is not entirely known. Judging by the Illyrian hillforts and the remains of Roman buildings, it was inhabited even earlier. During the Middle Ages, the area was divided into Biskupija (the area by the sea) and Opatija (the mainland part). There are several churches in the town. The Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary from the 13th century, next to which there is an old cemetery with stečka tombstones, the Church of St. Anthony of Padua from the 18th century and the Church of the Sacred Heart from the 14th century.
BEACHES
Along the coast are beautiful coves with pebble and sandy beaches. These are Voluja, Ričevo vrelo, Stari Trogir and Sićenica.
OTHER CONTENT
There are several shops, restaurants and coffee bars in the town. You can taste local delicacies and quality wine in the restaurants Kupinica, Mastrinka, Bijeli galeb, Mornarevi mlini, La barca and Cappuccino. Visit one of the taverns: Vinišće, Marina, Volana or Porat and the pizzerias Kaktus or Cima. Vinišće is a place intended primarily for lovers of a peaceful family vacation, and those looking for nightlife can find facilities in nearby Trogir, Šibenik, Rogoznica or Split.

In addition to sea fun, surfing, sport and boat fishing, and football, there is a children's playground available for children.
WHAT TO DO AND EXCURSION OPPORTUNITIES
From Vinišće you can go sightseeing and take day trips to Trogir, Split, Šibenik or Dubrovnik. By boat to Brač, Hvar, Mali or Veli Drvenik and by bus or car to Krka National Park, Plitvice Lakes, Cetina River Canyon and Biokovo Nature Park.
