Bijaka Beach | The Most Well-Equipped Family Beach in Milna

Bijaka Beach is located at the western entrance of Milna, between Marina Vlaška and Cape Bijaka. Unlike many smaller natural coves in the vicinity, Bijaka is an organized city beach with a range of facilities that make it one of the most popular bathing spots in Milna, especially among families with children.

The beach stretches several hundred meters along the coast and consists of a combination of pebbly sections, paved sunbathing areas, and rocky parts near Cape Bijaka. The water is exceptionally clear, and the shallow area features a sandy bottom, making it comfortable for the youngest swimmers to enter the sea. This combination of pebbles and sand is one of the reasons why many consider Bijaka to be the best family beach in Milna.

A significant advantage of the beach is the natural shade. Pine trees extend almost to the shore, allowing visitors to easily find a spot out of the sun during the day. Additionally, showers, changing cabins, and sanitary facilities are available, which further facilitates a full day at the beach.

Bijaka is not just a swimming location. Several catering establishments are located near the beach where visitors can order coffee, ice cream, cocktails, cold drinks, and meals by the sea. During the summer, the beach club and restaurant area are particularly popular, so many visitors spend the entire day here without needing to go into the center of Milna.

For more active visitors, there are also facilities related to water sports. During the season, various recreational activities can be found at sea, making the beach appealing to younger guests seeking more than just sunbathing and swimming.

A special part of the beach is Cape Bijaka, the western end of the cove where the organized beach gradually transitions into a natural rocky shore. This area is often chosen by swimmers and diving enthusiasts due to the very clear water and open views towards Šolta and the entrance to Milna harbor.

The beach can be reached from the center of Milna within a ten-minute pleasant walk along the coast. Nearby, there are parking areas and accommodation facilities, making access easy for guests arriving by car.

Bijaka is one of the few beaches in Milna that successfully combines organized infrastructure, natural shade, catering options, and quality bathing facilities. For this reason, it has remained a top choice for families with children for many years, as well as for anyone looking to spend an entire day by the sea without sacrificing essential amenities.
