Murvica Beach is one of the most beautiful natural beaches on the island of Brač. It is located in the bay of the same name, near the small village of Murvica, about 5 kilometers west of Bol. Access to Murvica Beach is via a paved road from Bol, and there is a public parking area just above the beach, which is charged during the tourist season. It takes about ten minutes to walk from the parking area to the sea along a well-maintained path. However, the return walk from the beach is quite steep and demanding. Murvica can also be reached by bicycle or on foot, but due to the distance and incline, most visitors arrive by car.
In addition to swimming, Murvica is an excellent starting point for exploring the surroundings. Above the village are the famous Dragon's Cave and the remains of medieval hermit dwellings, while the surrounding slopes hide some of the oldest vineyards on Brač, known for the famous Stina wine. Nature lovers can explore numerous hiking trails leading to Vidova Gora and other viewpoints on the southern side of the island.
Although it is very popular during July and August, Murvica Beach retains a calmer atmosphere compared to the beaches in Bol itself. Due to the slightly lower crowds, natural environment, and spectacular scenery, it is especially appreciated by visitors seeking an authentic Dalmatian ambiance and a relaxed seaside holiday.
