Vela Farska Beach on Brač | Large Pebble Cove on the Southern Side of the Island

Vela Farska Beach is located on the southern side of Brač, between Bol and Murvice, in a large natural cove surrounded by rocky terrain, vineyards, and a few rustic houses. The cove is somewhat isolated from the main tourist areas, giving it a quieter and more natural feel compared to most well-known beaches on the island.

The beach is wide and pebbly, featuring a mix of small stones and rocky sections along the edges of the cove. The water is very clear and quickly transitions from shallow to deeper areas, but the entry into the sea remains gradual enough for comfortable swimming. The cove faces south, ensuring plenty of sunlight throughout the day, while natural shade can be found along the edges where pine trees and Mediterranean vegetation grow.

Access to Vela Farska has become much easier than in the past, as an asphalt road leads almost directly to the cove. The final stretch to the beach still includes a short unpaved section, but access is no longer as challenging as it once was. Nevertheless, the road is narrow in some parts, so it is advisable to drive slowly during the season, especially when vehicles are approaching from the opposite direction.

There is parking available above the beach along the access road. This is not a large organized parking lot but rather a few widened areas along the road and rocky spaces where people leave their cars. It takes a few minutes to walk from the parking area to the sea. During July and August, spots can fill up by late morning.

The beach does not feature large beach bars or typical tourist infrastructure. This contributes to the cove's natural appearance. Nearby, there are a few rustic houses and apartments, but there are no shops or restaurants directly by the beach, so it is advisable to bring water and basic supplies for the day.

The landscape surrounding the cove is particularly striking. Above the beach, old vineyards and stone terraces descend almost to the sea, creating a wild and open atmosphere. When there are not many people, the sounds of waves, crickets, and wind from the open sea are predominant.

Vela Farska is popular among those seeking a quieter part of Brač without loud music and large crowds. Many sailors visit the cove during the day due to the very clean waters and sheltered location.

The beach does not offer many amenities, which is precisely why it still appears more natural than most well-known locations around Bol.
