The parish church of st. James the Apostle (Younger - feast day of July 25) - is mentioned as early as 1452, on the site of an older church dedicated to All Saints, to which an altar, the first on the left, is dedicated in the present church. This church was built in 1878 and dedicated in 1889. It has five beautiful altars, and the sixth "coram populo" since 1976 when it was rebuilt.
