The church in the town was built in the 15th century, and was probably dedicated to St. Francis of Assisi because near the settlement, on the islet of Sustipanac, there was a monastery of the Third Order Franciscans who pastorally served Betina. In Betina, be sure to visit the Museum of Betina Wooden Shipbuilding, which preserves knowledge about wooden shipbuilding and the history and customs of the town. The Zora Cultural and Artistic Society also operates in Betina, which also preserves local customs from being forgotten.
