The idea of constructing the Alkar Courtyards, a building that would serve the needs of the knights of the Alkar Society, dates back to the late 19th century.In 1993, the Society became the owner of a part of the Quarter, a monumental building from the 18th and 19th centuries, and by decision of the Government of the Republic of Croatia in 2004 and the entire block of the Quartier. At the commemorative ceremony on March 18, 2007, the foundation stone was laid for the reconstruction and construction of the Alkar Palace and the Museum of the Sinj Alka in the premises of the Quarter. The architectural and architectural part is authored by Ante Kuzmanić.
