BASIC INFORMATION AND LOCATION

The city of Dubrovnik, named after the oak forest Dubrava, is located in southern Croatia and is one of the most important tourist and cultural centers not only in Croatia but also in the whole of Southeast Europe. Dubrovnik Airport is 22 kilometers from the city center and can be reached by car, bus or boat, and there is also an international ferry line to Bari in Italy.

CULTURE, HISTORY AND ATTRACTIONS

Since 1979, Dubrovnik has been under the protection of the world organization UNESCO. The city is recognized in the tourist markets thanks to its rich history, the beautiful scenery it offers, the mild climate, and the cultural heritage. Tourist interest in visiting Dubrovnik is growing, as evidenced by the fact that in recent years the city has also been profiled as a City Break destination. This city, a living monument as it is called, has countless sights, part of the rich monumental heritage is the historic core of the city with the Church of St. Blaise, the Sponza Palace, Stradun, the Rector's Palace, etc.

BEACHES

The warm and crystal clear sea are just some of the reasons why Dubrovnik's beaches are so praised. Banje is the city's most popular pebble beach, located close to the city walls and offering unbeatable views, while if you are looking for a family option, Copacabana Beach might be more suitable for you, offering numerous facilities, while the Lapad beaches in Lapad Bay are also very popular and visited.

OTHER CONTENT

The main street Stradun is home to a number of small souvenir shops, world-famous brands and various other amenities, and Dubrovnik's old town is also the most attractive part of the city. We will also mention the Sub City shopping center in Župa dubrovačka. Nightlife in Dubrovnik is suitable for all ages and tastes; while walking through the streets you can find street musicians, Dalmatian klapa groups, serenade singers and the like, while during the Dubrovnik Summer Festival the stages become squares. Discos are often visited by the world's best DJ names such as Fedde Le Grand, Fatboy Slim and others, the most famous club is Revelin. SPORT

Apart from water sports such as swimming and diving, there are countless other ways to get active in Dubrovnik and its surroundings. You can visit the tennis courts on the Babin Kuk peninsula in Dubrovnik, or visit Kojan Koral in Konavle, which offers recreational horseback riding and an adrenaline-filled ATV-squad safari. In the southernmost part of the Croatian coast, in the Prevlaki Park, we also have the largest free climbing center in Croatia, while you can also try your hand at paintball, cycling or adventure walking.

WHAT TO DO AND EXCURSION / SIGHTSEEING OPPORTUNITIES

In Dubrovnik, tourist agencies offer a handful of one-day trips and excursions with organized departures from Dubrovnik, we will list a few: trips to Mostar, Montenegro, Međugorje, Mljet National Park, etc. Of course, we also offer tours of Dubrovnik and its cultural sights with local guides. Some organized excursions also offer boat trips to the Elafite group of islands located west of Dubrovnik.
