The views of the Elafiti, Lapad and Gruz are the main features of the Nunziata settlement, known as the Beverly Hills. Nunciata is named after the small church of Our Lady of Nunciata, built in 1349, and its name comes from the Latin word annuntiare (read: anunciare) meaning to announce, namely Annuntionis Beatae Mariae Virginis = Annunciation to the Blessed Virgin Mary (that she will give birth to the Son of God).
