Osibova Cove | Turquoise Sea and Peaceful Shore Just Minutes from Milna

Osibova Cove is located approximately 2 kilometres southwest of the centre of Milna and is one of the most well-known bathing spots on the western side of Brač. Unlike the developed urban beaches, Osibova is primarily a natural cove surrounded by pine forests, rocky shores, and smaller holiday homes, which helps it maintain a quieter character even during the peak tourist season.

Upon arrival, the colour of the sea immediately captures attention. Due to the rocky seabed and exceptionally clear water, the sea in Osibova often takes on intense turquoise shades, making the cove recognisable among visitors to Milna. The underwater visibility is excellent, making it a popular spot for diving enthusiasts and those keen to explore the marine environment.

The shoreline is mainly a mix of natural stone slabs, smaller pebbly sections, and arranged concrete sunbathing areas in front of holiday homes. Access to the water is generally easy across most of the cove, and numerous natural plateaus provide comfortable sunbathing right by the sea. In the central part of the cove, there is also a smaller pebbly area suitable for families with children.

One of the greatest advantages of Osibova is the natural shade. The pines extend almost to the shore, making it easy to find shelter from the sun during the day. As a result, many visitors spend the entire day here, especially in July and August when temperatures are at their highest.

An asphalt road leads to the cove from Milna, and it takes just a few minutes to reach by car. There are several parking spots available near the shore, although capacity fills up quickly during peak season. Many people also walk or cycle to Osibova from Milna due to the relatively short distance.

In contrast to Bijaka or Lučica beaches, Osibova does not have a large number of hospitality facilities. This is precisely why the cove retains a quieter character and attracts visitors who wish to spend a day by the sea without loud music and large crowds. It is advisable to bring enough water and other essentials for a day at the beach.

The cove is also popular among sailors. During the summer, anchored sailboats and smaller boats can often be seen in the bay, drawn here by the good protection from most winds and the exceptionally clean waters.

A particularly beautiful sight occurs in the late afternoon when the sun illuminates the western part of the cove, and the sea takes on an almost emerald green hue. At this time, Osibova demonstrates why many consider it one of the most beautiful natural coves in the vicinity of Milna.

If you are looking for a place where nature, clear waters, and tranquillity take precedence over beach amenities, Osibova is one of the best swimming coves on the western side of Brač.
