Parish Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mirca

The Parish Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary is located in the center of the village of Mirca on the island of Brač, not far from Supetar. This church represents an important part of the local history and everyday life of the inhabitants and is one of the main landmarks of the village. It was built in the Baroque style in 1858 and also had a bell tower added to it. The church has two marble and three wooden altars. Above the main altar is an altarpiece (painting) of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, by Feliks Tironi “Pieta” from 1783.
