Likva Beach – a popular sandy swimming spot in Sutivan

Likva Beach is one of the most frequented bathing spots in Sutivan, located on the western edge of the village along the coastal promenade. Its shallow waters, sandy bottom, and pleasant atmosphere make it particularly favoured by families with children, as well as anyone who enjoys spending extended periods in the water.

Unlike most beaches on Brač, which typically feature rocky or pebbly bottoms, Likva is characterised by its sandy seabed that gently slopes into deeper waters. This is why many visitors consider it one of the most enjoyable swimming locations in Sutivan. The sea is very clear, calm, and shallow near the shore, which enhances the sense of safety for children and less confident swimmers.

The shoreline is well-maintained, featuring a combination of pebbles, stone sunbathing areas, and spaces for relaxation by the sea. The beach offers ample room for sunbathing, and its open view towards the Brač Channel makes it particularly attractive during the afternoon and at sunset.

Adjacent to the beach is the Blue Lagoon Club, a popular beach bar and gathering spot during the summer months. Visitors can find refreshments, coffee, cocktails, and light meals here without needing to venture into the village centre. This combination of swimming and dining facilities makes Likva one of the liveliest beaches along this part of the Sutivan coast.

The beach is easily accessible on foot from the centre of Sutivan, with a well-maintained promenade leading directly to it. Nearby tourist accommodation options make it a practical choice for guests who wish to spend the entire day by the sea without the need for a car.

Thanks to its sandy seabed, clear waters, and nearby amenities, Likva is one of the most attractive beaches in Sutivan, making it an excellent choice for families, couples, and anyone seeking a pleasant place to swim and relax by the sea.
