From the Mezuporat area, there is a view of the small cove and the boats that dock throughout the day.

The atmosphere is informal and excursion-like. There is no need to dress up or plan a formal visit to the restaurant – most guests come straight from the boat or after swimming.
How to Get to Robinzon?
Access to the restaurant is not by car.
Biševo does not have a ferry connection for tourist vehicles nor a road network like that on Vis. The island is accessed by boat, and Mezuporat is one of the main docks.
The simplest departure point is Komiža.
From Komiža, one can reach Biševo via the regular boat line, taxi boat, private vessel, or an organised trip to the Blue Cave.
If the Blue Cave is part of a trip, there is no need to search for the restaurant – it is located right in the area through which visitors pass during their visit.
Arriving by Regular Line from Komiža
Biševo can also be explored without an organised tour.
The regular boat line connects Komiža with Mezuporat, Salbunari, and Porat, making it easy to plan a full-day excursion.
One option is to sail to Mezuporat, visit the Blue Cave, have lunch at Robinzon, and then continue to Porat or Salbunari.
The other option is to head straight to the western side of the island after the cave and spend most of the day there.
In both cases, it is advisable to check the seasonal timetable and especially the time of the last return to Komiža before departure.
Robinzon or Café by the Blue Cave?
There are several dining establishments in Mezuporat, but not all offer the same type of service.
If one only wants coffee, a cold drink, or a short break, the café bars by the dock are quite sufficient.
If a more substantial lunch is desired, Robinzon makes more sense as it offers fish, squid, tuna, meat, and other grill dishes.
This is essentially its most significant difference.
There is no need to present every establishment in Mezuporat as the same type of restaurant. Robinzon is more focused on food, while the surrounding café bars are more practical for drinks and a short wait before visiting the cave.
Robinzon or Taverns in Porat?
If staying on Biševo for the entire day, it is worth considering another option.
Porat is located on the opposite, western side of the island and has a large sandy beach, a long shallow area, and more natural shade. There are also small island restaurants such as Kod Jakše and Konoba Tomić.
The difference is primarily in the experience.
Robinzon is more practical when one wants to eat immediately after the Blue Cave, without an additional trip across the island.
Porat is better if lunch is to be combined with a few hours of swimming on the sandy beach and a slower stay on Biševo.
Both options make sense, just for a different day plan.
Can You Continue on Foot After Lunch?
Yes. Biševo is crisscrossed with old island paths, and walking is one of the best ways to see more than just the Blue Cave.
From the Mezuporat area, one can head towards Poju and the interior of Biševo, and further connect to Porat and Salbunari.
For such a walk, good sandals or trainers, enough water, and sun protection are necessary.
In July and August, it is not advisable to set off on a long walk immediately after lunch in the strongest sun. Mornings and later afternoons are much more pleasant.
Is Robinzon Suitable for Families with Children?
Yes, especially since the menu is not limited to just fish and seafood.
Alongside fish dishes, there are chicken, meat, ćevapi, chips, sandwiches, and other simpler meals, making it easier to find something for children who are not interested in fish.
The location in Mezuporat is also practical as there is no long walk to the restaurant after visiting the Blue Cave.
If proper swimming with children is desired after lunch, it is best to head towards Porat Beach, where the sand and long shallow waters are much more suitable for family stays.
Opening Hours and Season
Robinzon is a seasonal establishment, closely linked to the summer traffic to the Blue Cave.
During the main part of the season, current information indicates opening from morning until evening, allowing for lunch, a later meal, or drinks.
However, it is not advisable to rely long-term on a published schedule on Biševo.
The start and end of the season, weather conditions, and the number of boat lines can affect the operation of dining establishments, so outside of July and August, it is wise to check the opening hours shortly before arrival.
Should You Make a Reservation?
For two or a smaller group visiting during a typical day, a reservation is usually not crucial.
For larger groups during July and August, it makes sense to check availability in advance, especially if the lunch time coincides with the peak visitor wave to the Blue Cave.
Biševo is a small island, so the number of guests in Mezuporat can significantly increase in a very short time when several excursion boats arrive simultaneously.

After the boat from Komiža and the Blue Cave, one can sit down for tuna, squid, fish, or something from the grill, relax, and then continue on to Porat, Salbunari, or back to Vis.
For a guest who does not wish to organise the entire trip around a restaurant but simply seeks a good moment for lunch without straying far from Mezuporat, Robinzon is one of the more practical choices in this part of Biševo.
