Church of St. Jacob the Apostle in Jadranovo was built in the first decade of the 19th century. From the documents available and the layout of the church it can be assumed that it was built in several stages. First the chapel of Saint Jacob of the church was built by the pastor of Mate Balas in 1812. It was built of stone, Romanesque style, and is laid in the east-west direction, which means that the main altar of the church is located to the east and the facade faces west. The tunnel in Jadranovo is a symbol of the rich fishing tradition in the town and one of the few that have been preserved in the Kvarner area.
