BASIC INFORMATION AND LOCATIONGrebaštica is a settlement within the city of Šibenik, consisting of Gornja and Donja Grebaštica. It is located in the bay of the same name, 14 kilometers south of Šibenik. It is one of the deepest bays in the Šibenik-Knin County, which attracts boaters throughout the year. Grebaštica is located along the Adriatic Highway (D8), and the nearest airports are Zadar and Split. Grebaštica today has approximately 837 inhabitants and is suitable for family vacations.
CULTURE, HISTORY AND ATTRACTIONS
The remains of Roman architecture testify to the existence of settlement in the Grebaštica area since Roman times. It was first mentioned in written documents in 1298 as Grebac. The population is mainly engaged in agriculture, fishing and, for the last 15 years, tourism. The most famous preserved monument is the defensive wall with a loophole built in 1497, which encloses the entire peninsula and protected the inhabitants from the Turks. There is also the parish church of St. Peter and Mary. It is also worth seeing the stone cover of a Roman sarcophagus found in the local cemetery and the remains of the chapel of the Holy Spirit from the 17th century near the Oštrica peninsula.
BEACHES
The crystal clear sea and the pine forest of the Jelinjak hill attract numerous visitors. The entire area is rich in pebble, rocky and partly concrete beaches. To name a few: Banovci, Šparadići, Grebaštica donja, Šparadići istok, Galešnica, Mirine bay and the beach of the Tomas and Barinica campsites.
OTHER CONTENT
The cultural summer in Grebaštica offers numerous events during the tourist season (children's workshops, folklore evenings, the traditional Grebaštica Night, fishermen's festivals, a night under the stars, sports events). The proximity of Vodice and Šibenik opens up other possibilities, such as nightlife. The restaurants Bedem, Delfin, Stari Šibenik, Roko, pizzerias Niko and Mali Lovre, beach bars Vertigo, La plaja, Locco, Laganini and Cubano, numerous coffee bars, and the bikers' bar Mixer expand the gastronomic and entertainment offer.
SPORT
There are numerous opportunities for active vacations, such as cyclotourism, hiking and mountaineering, kayaking, boat rides, etc.
WHAT TO DO AND EXCURSION OPPORTUNITIES
Visits to numerous destinations were organized, such as tours with licensed guides to Split, Trogir, Šibenik, then visits to the Kornati and Krka national parks, to the Cetina spring - a hydrogeological monument of nature, to the Čikola canyon, the Velebit and Vrana Lake nature parks.

With numerous private facilities, the entire area specializes in camping tourism. As many as 20 camps are nearby. These are Vala, Joso, Remini, Sunce, Panorama, Punto, Olive, Maestral, Krešimir, Marica direct to the sea, Toni, Barinica, Tomas, Svirčić, Laz-Toni, Moj mir, Mate, A and Legend.
