This is not a restaurant dinner with a fixed menu, but a genuine island celebration where food is prepared outdoors and enjoyed at communal tables or while standing by the waterfront.

The aroma of fish grilling, the music, and the bustle around the tables create an atmosphere that is hard to replicate on an ordinary evening in Stomorska. Many arrive early to secure a seat and avoid the longest queues for food. Guests staying near Veli Dolac, Điga, Veli Bok, or Pulenat can expect a walk of anywhere from a few minutes to about fifteen minutes to reach the centre.

Arriving by car is possible, but it is advisable not to attempt to park right by the waterfront. The streets in the centre are narrow, and available spaces are quickly taken by residents, guests of apartments, and visitors to restaurants. It is best to leave the car in a permitted area above or before entering the village centre, and then walk down. Those coming from Maslinica, Nečujam, Rogač, or other parts of Šolta should set off early enough.

For sailors, Fisherman's Night is particularly appealing as the programme takes place right by the harbour. However, moorings in Stomorska are highly sought after in August, and on the day of the event, they fill up even earlier. One should not expect to arrive by boat just before the programme starts without a previously secured spot.

For families with children, the earlier part of the evening is the most pleasant, as it is less crowded. Later, the waterfront becomes very busy, the music louder, and navigating between tables and people more challenging. Children should be kept close as the event takes place right by the sea and alongside moored boats.

Fisherman's Night is not an event one attends for a precise programme or extravagant culinary offerings.
