BASIC INFORMATION

Čilipi is a town in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County, more precisely in the municipality of Konavle, located 22 kilometers from Dubrovnik and 5 km from Cavtat. It is known for its Čilipi Airport, which is the third busiest airport in Croatia. You can get to Čilipi by car, or you can take a bus to Dubrovnik and then continue to Čilipi, for example by taxi.

CULTURE, HISTORY AND ATTRACTIONS

Apart from Cavtat, Čilipi is the largest settlement in Konavle. In 1426, it was granted the status of a settlement and became part of the Dubrovnik Republic. After almost the entire settlement was burned down during the Homeland War and the inhabitants were expelled in the autumn of 1992, the town was liberated from the aggressors. Čilipi, like most settlements in this area, has retained the appearance of traditional stone architecture. Today, Čilipi is also known for its famous folk folklore, which is held on Sundays on the main square. In this central part of Čilipi, there is also the largest church in Konavle, the parish church of St. Nicholas, and the Konavle Heritage House.

BEACHES

The purity and color of the sea, the view of the open sea and the fine pebbles are just some of the reasons why Pasjača beach bears the title of one of the most beautiful beaches in the Adriatic, and it is located only 5 kilometers south of Čilipi. Nearby, more precisely in the town of Radovčići, there is also a beautiful beach with very clean sea. Both beaches are also known for being "hidden", they are reached by stone steps carved into the rocks.

OTHER CONTENT

Near Čipili there are two adrenaline parks, Cadmos Village Park and Sveta Ana Park, both parks are excellent places for fun, activities and enjoyment. The gastronomic offer in Čilipi is highly praised, we will mention the Konavle restaurant located in the heart of Čilipi within the hotel of the same name, and the Tata Mata pizzeria. Throughout the town there are various cafes with beautiful views, as well as the beach bar of the same name at the famous Čilipi port.

SPORT

Čilipi is an ideal place if you want an active vacation, there are numerous activities that you can have fun and recreate. There are many hiking and cycling trails connecting Cavtat and Čilipi, Kojan coral which offers recreational horseback riding and an adrenaline-filled ATV-squad safari trip is also very close.

WHAT TO DO AND EXCURSION OPPORTUNITIES

In addition to the historical and cultural heritage in Čilipi itself, you can also visit the surrounding places that offer a wealth of sightseeing opportunities. On one of the organized excursions offered by the tourist agency, you can get to know the Dubrovnik area and neighboring countries more broadly. We will list some of the excursions: "Konavle - a hidden treasure chest", a trip to Dubrovnik, Korčula, Mljet, the Elaphite Islands, Međugorje, Mostar, etc.

ACCOMMODATION

You can stay in one of the hotels, apartments or even in one of the villas. We will list some of the more famous villas and hotels: Villa Bellezza, Hotel Konavle, Villa Aquarius, Villa Oasis Cypress. The camps are located in Molunat, a place that is also in the municipality of Konavle near Čilipi. The nearest port of Cavtat, which is also the largest port of this port authority, is located in the town of the same name, just a few kilometers from Čilipi.
