Macel Beach in Pučišća | City Beach Near the Center of the Village

Macel Beach, or Pučišća Beach as it is marked on Google Maps, is located along Put Macela, just east of the village center. It is one of the main city beaches in Pučišća and can be reached on foot in a few minutes from the waterfront without the need for a car or descending to hidden coves outside the village.

The beach consists of a combination of fine pebbles, rocky areas, and paved surfaces by the sea. The entry into the water is quite easy, and the sea is very clean and calm as the entire Pučišća bay is well protected from the wind. Due to its location within the village, it often attracts families with children, people who do not want to walk far, and those looking for a quick swim during an evening stroll through Pučišća.

A promenade and road run alongside the beach, making access very straightforward. Parking is available along Put Macela and in the surrounding streets, but during July and August, it can become quite full as the beach is practically in the center of the village. The advantage of Macel is that it is not an isolated cove but a city beach near apartments, cafes, and houses, so everything is within a few minutes' walk.

During the summer, there are often additional amenities at the beach, such as pedal boats, recreational boards, an aqua park, and smaller summer activities on the water.

Macel does not have much natural shade, so during the hottest part of the day, many people use umbrellas or move to the edges near stone walls and pine trees. The sea is generally very calm, making the beach suitable for longer swims within the bay.

Unlike more remote coves like Luka or Lučica, Macel functions more as an everyday city beach where people come for a quick swim, morning swimming, or a few hours by the sea without special planning. In the evening, it is particularly pleasant as the beach offers views of the entire illuminated Pučišća bay and the stone houses along the waterfront.
