At that time, they surrounded themselves with walls and towers for protection. The Čorić Tower has been preserved from that time. On the Okita hill is the sanctuary of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. There were several sources of drinking water within the walls, and two wells have been preserved to this day. The central church is the parish church of the Holy Cross.
