Caffe Bar Štradun in Nerežišća | Local Café by the Main Square

Caffe Bar Štradun is situated in the heart of Nerežišća, just a few steps from the Church of St. Peter and Paul and the old stone square. It serves as a key gathering spot in the village throughout the day, particularly in the morning when coffee is enjoyed on the terrace and in the evening when the area comes alive after the heat of the day.

The terrace is nestled among stone houses and narrow streets of the old town, giving the entire space a typical appearance of a Brač village in the island's interior. There is no large tourist crowd or loud music as found in coastal towns, with most patrons being locals and those passing through Nerežišća on their way to other parts of Brač.

The menu includes coffee, espresso, long coffee, cold drinks, juices, cocktails, beer, and several types of local rakija. During the summer, many people stop here for a drink after exploring the village or before heading towards Supetar, Bol, and Vidova Gora. In the evenings, the terrace remains busy as it is one of the few places in the village centre where one can sit outside until late.

Štradun does not have a modern lounge look or a large tourist terrace; instead, it offers the atmosphere of a classic Dalmatian café typical of smaller island towns. Tables are arranged right next to the street and stone walls, allowing for a good view of daily life in the village.

The advantage of its location is that the café is practically in the centre of Nerežišća, making everything just a few minutes' walk away — churches, galleries, small shops, and old stone streets. Parking is available along the main road and in smaller car parks around the village centre.

During local festivities, processions, and summer events, the terrace of Štradun often becomes one of the main gathering spots as most activities take place in the surrounding streets and the square.
