Vina Senjković Wine Bar in Nerežišća | Brač Wines in a Stone Tavern in the Heart of the Island

Vina Senjković Wine Bar is located in Nerežišća, in the central part of Brač, just a few minutes from the main square of the village. This establishment belongs to the Senjković family, one of the more renowned wine-producing families on Brač, who have been making wines from local and Dalmatian grape varieties for many years. The wine bar is set in an old stone house, retaining the appearance of a traditional Brač tavern while adopting a more modern approach to wine tasting and gastronomy.

The majority of the offerings are based on the family’s own wines. Notably, they produce labels from Plavac Mali, Pošip, and other Dalmatian varieties grown in sun-drenched and wind-swept locations on Brač. During tastings, the staff provides detailed explanations about the production methods, vineyard locations, and the differences between various vintages, making the experience far more engaging than a typical wine-drinking session in a restaurant.

Accompanying the wine are small plates featuring local products such as Brač cheeses, prosciutto, olives, homemade bread, and olive oil. The menu is not extensive, but it is thoughtfully curated to complement the wines, focusing on local ingredients and simple flavour combinations.

The interior of the wine bar combines stone, wood, and modern details without excessive decoration. Tables are arranged in smaller rooms and on the terrace, giving the venue a more intimate feel compared to larger coastal restaurants. In the evening, the atmosphere becomes particularly pleasant as Nerežišća is much quieter after sunset than the tourist spots by the sea.

In addition to the wine bar, the Senjković family is also known for their restaurant and wine cellars in the vicinity, so many visitors combine tastings with dinner or vineyard tours. During the summer months, smaller private groups often come to sample Brač wines outside the standard tourist offerings.

Parking is available along the road through Nerežišća, just a few minutes' walk from the wine bar. Reservations are recommended during July and August, especially for evening tastings and organised wine tasting programmes.

Vina Senjković Wine Bar is more of a place for leisurely evening gatherings over wine than a typical bar or restaurant. The combination of Brač stone, local wines, and the tranquil atmosphere of the island's interior creates a distinctly different impression from wine bars in coastal areas.
