Lučica Beach in Pučišća | A Small Cove with a Beach Bar and Views of Pučišća Bay

Lučica Beach is situated on the eastern side of Pučišća, approximately two kilometres from the town centre and the main waterfront. Nestled in a small cove beneath the road leading to the quarries, it avoids the crowds and foot traffic typical of the town's central beaches. Access to the beach is possible by car, scooter, or on foot along the coast, with several parking spots available along the road above the cove.

Lučica is a smaller pebble and stone beach with exceptionally clear and transparent waters. The seabed drops off relatively quickly, resulting in intensely blue water right by the shore, giving the cove a distinctly different appearance compared to the shallower town beaches. Due to its location on the eastern side of the cove, it is particularly pleasant in the morning when the sun rises directly over the sea, while in the evening, the area remains quieter and less noisy.

On the beach, you'll find the Beach Bar Treće Lučice, which has become one of the main spots in the cove during the summer months. The bar is small and relaxed, without loud music or large terraces, more akin to a local place for coffee, a cold beer, a cocktail, or ice cream after a swim. People often stop by by boat just for a drink, as the cove is well-protected and suitable for brief docking. The menu includes basic drinks, craft beers, coffee, and simple summer snacks, and the atmosphere remains quite tranquil even in the peak season.

The beach lacks many additional facilities or extensive tourist infrastructure, which is actually why many people choose to come here. Most days pass at a slower pace than at the more famous beaches on Brač. The water is very clean and calm, and there are flat stone areas along the edges of the cove for sunbathing if one prefers not to lie on pebbles.

It is worth noting that there is not much natural shade, so a sun umbrella is advisable during the hottest part of the day. In July and August, the cove can become quite busy in the evenings, especially when people come for drinks at the beach bar after swimming or strolling along the coast.

Lučica feels more like a small local cove for swimming and a peaceful summer afternoon rather than a developed town beach with numerous amenities. This is precisely why a more relaxed atmosphere can still be found here compared to closer to the centre of Pučišća.
