Bunta Beach – a tranquil pebble beach east of the harbour in Sutivan

Bunta Beach in Sutivan is one of those typical Brač coves that look lovely in photographs but are even better in person – especially early in the morning or in the evening when it is less crowded.

Situated east of the harbour and within a short walking distance from the centre of Sutivan, it is easily accessible by strolling along the coast. The beach is pebbly, with some concrete sections, and the entry into the sea is gradual and pleasant, making it suitable for relaxed swimming.

The water is exceptionally clear and calm, displaying the characteristic Adriatic shades of blue and green that change throughout the day. A natural shade of pine trees lines much of the beach, which is a significant advantage during the summer months.

In terms of amenities, the beach is simple and unobtrusive – it has basic facilities such as showers and designated sunbathing areas, but without excessive commercialisation. Nearby, there are cafés and dining establishments in the centre of Sutivan, so everything you need is just a few minutes' walk away.

Parking is available in the surrounding streets and in the access zones above and around the beach. It can fill up during the season, but generally, a spot can always be found with a short walk to the sea, which suits the character of the area where most people tend to walk.

The beach is not large, but it is sufficiently varied for everyone to find their own corner for peaceful swimming or relaxing in the shade. It can be livelier in the summer, yet it still maintains the relaxed atmosphere of a small Dalmatian town, without large crowds or tourist noise.

Overall, Bunta is a practical and pleasant town beach in Sutivan – straightforward, accessible, and ideal for daily swimming.
