Prbuja Beach – A Hidden Natural Cove West of Sutivan

Prbuja Beach, also known as Borak, is one of the most tranquil and natural beaches in the vicinity of Sutivan. Located approximately three kilometres west of the village, it attracts visitors seeking crystal-clear waters, unspoilt nature, and a retreat from the more crowded urban beaches.

The cove features a mix of pebbles, smooth stones, and natural rocky areas, with exceptionally clear and transparent waters. Due to the purity of the sea and the serene surroundings, the beach is particularly popular among swimming, snorkelling, and those looking to relax in nature. The view extends across the open Brač Channel, and the sense of peace is further enhanced by its distance from settlements and tourist crowds.

One of the unique aspects of Prbuja is its accessibility. The beach cannot be reached by car; the final stretch must be traversed on foot or by bicycle. The nearest parking is available at the western edge of Sutivan, followed by a pleasant walk along the coastal path to the cove itself. This has helped Prbuja remain one of the few beaches in the Sutivan area that has preserved its natural appearance and tranquil atmosphere.

There are no hospitality facilities, showers, or other tourist amenities at the beach, so it is advisable to bring sufficient water, sun protection, and everything needed for a day’s stay. Natural shade can be found on the rocky parts of the beach, while the shore is fully exposed to the sun.

Prbuja is an ideal choice for visitors looking to escape the crowds and experience one of the most beautiful natural coves on the western coast of Brač. The combination of clear waters, tranquillity, and unspoilt nature makes it a true hidden gem for relaxation.
