Uvati vitar – The Most Renowned Cycling Race in Sutivan
Uvati vitar is one of the most prominent sporting events on the island of Brač and has made Sutivan well-known among mountain biking enthusiasts. This popular MTB race attracts hundreds of recreational cyclists and competitors from Croatia and abroad each year, all eager to test their skills on the challenging yet exceptionally attractive trails of Brač.
The event is traditionally held in spring, typically during May, when pleasant temperatures and blooming nature create ideal conditions for cycling. The start and finish of the race are located in Sutivan, with routes winding through olive groves, pine forests, gravel paths, and picturesque landscapes in the interior of Brač.
Over the years, Uvati vitar has evolved from a local sporting event into one of the most recognised MTB races in Dalmatia. Participants can choose from various categories and trail lengths, allowing both experienced cyclists and recreational riders seeking a different way to experience Brač to take part. Organisers regularly prepare several routes of varying difficulty to ensure the race is accessible to as many participants as possible.
A particular highlight of the event is the scenery through which it passes. During the ride, participants encounter traditional dry stone walls, centuries-old olive groves, hidden gravel paths, and numerous viewpoints offering vistas of the Brač Channel, Split, and neighbouring islands. For this reason, many participants note that Uvati vitar is as much a tourist experience as it is a sporting competition.
In addition to the race itself, the event features social gatherings for competitors, entertainment programmes, and activities for visitors, creating a distinctly sporting atmosphere throughout the weekend. General terms can be changed from time to time and if the user or supplier doesn’t agree with the changed general terms and conditions he can remove his content from the site.

4. The obligations of suppliers of tourist services (accommodation and other services)
Company Holiday-Link.com Ltd acts as advertising website on this website and not as a tour operator or intermediary travel agency. Suppliers of tourist services who register their capacity on this site, pay the commercial advertising model they choose. Interaction, regarding arranging a specific accommodation or other tourist service, is done directly between supplier and visitor. Visitors arrange the accommodation or some other touristic service directly with the suppliers and pay the arranged service to them. Suppliers guarantee that they have all licences necessary to carry out the services they offer, and to operate in accordance with the laws of their home country.
