Beach Bar Lučica is situated right by the sea in the eastern part of Jelsa's centre, on a small coastal area known as Lučica. It is close enough to Pjaca and the waterfront to reach on foot, yet its beachside location gives it a distinctly different character compared to cafés on the main square of Jelsa.

This is primarily a place for morning coffee by the sea, a cold drink after swimming, or an evening cocktail as the day's heat subsides. The tables by the shore, the sea view, and the proximity to the beach make Lučica a typical summer beach bar, without the need to venture several kilometres outside Jelsa.

This is why Lučica works particularly well during the day, when bathers, strollers, and those simply wanting a coffee by the sea come and go.

Although it is very close to the centre of Jelsa, the atmosphere is more beach-like than urban.

A significant advantage is that there is no need to choose between the centre and the beach. Lučica is practically an extension of the seaside promenade from the heart of the town.

During the Mudri Brk festival, Beach Bar Lučica serves as one of the official daytime festival locations. The programme has included DJ sets, album presentations, workshops, and beach clean-up activities.

Close to the centre, yet by the sea

Getting from the centre of Jelsa to Lučica is a simple stroll along the coast.

It is close enough that the bar can be included in a regular evening walk through Jelsa, yet sufficiently secluded that it does not feel like just another table on the main Pjaca.

If staying in the centre, driving to the bar makes little sense – it is much more pleasant to walk along the shore.

Lučica also fits well into a walk towards the eastern part of Jelsa and the beaches that continue towards Mini and Grebišće.

Beach Bar Lučica is most suitable when looking for an informal spot by the sea, without a restaurant-like character and without the need for special planning.

It is a good choice for:
