Konoba Tamaris in Nečujam – pizza, fish and Dalmatian dishes by the main beach

Konoba Tamaris is situated in the heart of Nečujam, at Dioklecijanova 15A, immediately adjacent to the main bathing area, pools, and Supetar beach, also known as Nečujam Beach. The terrace can be reached from the beach in under a minute, making the konoba convenient for lunch after swimming, a family dinner, or a drink without needing to venture further into the village. It should not be confused with the nearby Cafe Bar Tamaris, as they are separate establishments.

Tamaris offers a diverse menu and is not limited to a single type of cuisine. Starters include cold dishes such as prosciutto, cheeses, fish pâté, marinated anchovies, salted sardines, and octopus and cuttlefish salad. Among the hot dishes, there are black risotto, risottos and pasta with shrimp, squid or seafood, mussels, grilled meats, steak, rump steak, and various chicken and veal dishes.

A significant part of the menu features pizzas. In addition to classic options like Margherita, Capricciosa, Vegetarian, and Quattro formaggi, there are seafood pizzas, prawn pizzas, and the house special Tamaris pizza topped with prosciutto, egg, zucchini, mushrooms, and olives. Larger jumbo pizzas are also available, which can be convenient for families or groups.

For guests seeking a more traditional Dalmatian lunch or dinner, options include fish, tuna, squid, shrimp, and fish platters for two. The menu also features veal and octopus cooked under peka. As the preparation of peka takes longer and often depends on prior arrangements, it is advisable to order it in advance when making a reservation. For whole fish, it is recommended to check the available type, weight, and total price before ordering.

The konoba is particularly convenient for families spending the day at the main beach, as there is no need to get back into the car. Nearby are the pebble beach, pools, coastal promenade, shops, and other amenities in the central part of Nečujam. The terrace is located in a lively tourist area, so during July and August, one should expect larger crowds, especially at dinner time. For larger groups or a table at a desired time, reservations are recommended.

The konoba can be accessed via an asphalt road through Nečujam. It is possible to drive close by, but Tamaris does not have a large dedicated parking area for restaurant guests. Public parking spaces in the vicinity of the main beach and apartment complex are used. During the peak season, these fill up quickly, so it is best to arrive early or park further up in the village and continue on foot. Guests staying in the centre do not require a car.

Opening hours may vary during the season, so it is advisable to check directly with the konoba before your visit.
