Laganini Bar in Nečujm – Coffee, Cocktails and Swimming from a Seaside Terrace

Laganini Bar is situated on the eastern side of Nečujm Bay, along the coastal area of the settlement towards Tiha. It is not located near the main beach and pools, but approximately 600 to 800 metres away, depending on the route taken. From the centre of Nečujm, it takes about a ten-minute walk, which includes a short ascent and descent through the village. Upon reaching the bar, the terrace is practically right by the sea, allowing guests to step down or jump straight into the water.

This is one of those places where visitors come during the day in swimwear for coffee, cold drinks, or ice cream, and the atmosphere gradually shifts in the evening. At that time, cocktails are ordered, music is played, and guests linger by the sea until late. Laganini is neither a large club nor a noisy night venue. The space is small, with around ten tables and a capacity of approximately fifty guests, so even when full, it maintains a more relaxed character.

The bar's greatest feature is its location. The terrace is not only facing the sea but is also situated just above it. There is no need to cross a road or seek a separate beach between drinks and swimming. Along the coast, there are stone and concrete areas where towels can be laid down, and entry into the water is via steps or directly from the edge. This area is not the best choice for small children or non-swimmers, as there is no wide pebbly shallow like at the main beach in Nečujm. It is more suited to confident swimmers and guests who enjoy swimming from rocks and designated platforms.

The offerings are primarily bar-based. During the day, coffee, soft drinks, beer, and ice cream are available, while in the evening, cocktails and music take centre stage. It should not be considered a restaurant, nor should one expect a full lunch or dinner. For a more substantial meal, one would need to head to the restaurants and taverns in the central part of Nečujm.

Laganini can be reached on foot, by scooter, or by car. The road is tarmacked, but the streets in this part of Nečujm are narrow, and the final approach passes between houses and apartments. The bar does not have a large designated parking area. Vehicles are parked in limited spaces along the road and in smaller lay-bys, taking care not to block access to homes. During July and August, it is often simpler to walk from the centre than to search for a spot right by the bar.

Laganini operates seasonally, so the opening hours and programme vary throughout the year. They announce the start of the season, match broadcasts, and occasional evening gatherings on social media, making it advisable to check current posts before planning a visit.

Laganini Bar is best suited for afternoon swimming, drinks by the sea, and a quieter evening out away from the busiest part of Nečujm. Its main advantages are the terrace right on the shore, the view across the bay, and the ability to enter the water just a few steps from the table, while one should consider the limited parking and absence of a traditional pebbly beach.
