Konoba Mareta in Nečujam – home-cooked meals and dining by the sea on the western side of the bay
Konoba Mareta is situated at Strma 9, on the western side of the large Nečujam bay. It is not located near the main beach or the central apartment complex, but rather in a quieter coastal area towards Podkamenica. The distance from Nečujam Beach and Phil’s Beach Bar is approximately a kilometre on foot, depending on the chosen street, which takes about 15 minutes to walk. The terrace is elevated a few metres above the sea and faces the bay, providing a broad view of Nečujam, the surrounding coastline, and the sunset during dinner.
Mareta can be reached by car, scooter, on foot, or by boat. The road access is paved, but the final stretch leads through narrower and occasionally steeper streets within the settlement. Drivers visiting for the first time should proceed slowly, as passing can be challenging in some areas. There is no large public car park adjacent to the konoba; instead, limited space is available nearby and along the access road. During the peak season, it is advisable to arrive a bit earlier and ensure that vehicles do not block the road or entrances to nearby houses.
Mareta is a family-run konoba focused on Dalmatian and Mediterranean cuisine. The menu prominently features fresh fish, seafood, and grilled dishes, with meat dishes and peka available depending on availability, which should be arranged in advance. The menu may include fish pâté, soups, carpaccio, pasta with shrimp, squid, fish steaks, and whole fish for multiple diners. As supplies on the island and daily catches can vary, not every dish is available every day. When ordering whole fish, it is advisable to check the weight and total price in advance.
Boat owners also visit the konoba. Nearby moorings are available, and a dinghy is used to reach the shore from the boat. The number of available berths and usage conditions may change, so it is best to confirm these directly with the restaurant before arrival. Reservations are recommended for guests arriving by land, particularly for dinner in July and August when the most sought-after tables with sea views are in high demand.
Mareta operates seasonally, and it should not be assumed that it follows the same schedule throughout the year. During certain periods, it may only open later in the afternoon, so it is advisable to check the current opening hours before setting off.
Konoba Mareta is suitable for guests seeking dinner away from the busiest part of Nečujam, with home-cooked fish and a view across the entire bay. The main advantages are its location just above the sea, a quieter terrace, and the option to arrive by boat, while those arriving by car should be prepared for narrower roads and limited parking.

4. The obligations of suppliers of tourist services (accommodation and other services)
Company Holiday-Link.com Ltd acts as advertising website on this website and not as a tour operator or intermediary travel agency. Suppliers of tourist services who register their capacity on this site, pay the commercial advertising model they choose. Interaction, regarding arranging a specific accommodation or other tourist service, is done directly between supplier and visitor. Visitors arrange the accommodation or some other touristic service directly with the suppliers and pay the arranged service to them. Suppliers are responsible for all entered data, images, prices and more. Suppliers guarantee that they have all licences necessary to carry out the services they offer, and to operate in accordance with the laws of their home country.
