First owner, Mr. See, as a poor man went to "bread belly" in America. Enchanted in America (there are a variety of stories about his gem, but none founded) returned to Valun and around 1855 he built the largest house in Valun, this palace. Mr. Vidić also gave way to the local church in Valun, which was later expanded. There is also a sad story of the Vidić family. His daughter was playing on the balcony of the house and was annoyed by the feeding of the pigeons, leaning over the fence, and was accidentally injured. Shrvan's grieving father gave a relief to the girl with the two pigeons, who are still in the chapel of St. Marka in the Valun cemetery. In the later years, Valuna residents gave a part of the house to the church, and she is the current owner. Some houses were bought by the Lord in 1965. Babic Josip from Rijeka and opened the tavern, which is the second guesthouse in Valun, called "Babić", and most known as the "PA'LAC" tavern, and has been operating continuously for about 50 years. Nowadays the restaurant is run by the family Malić with love, passion and the tradition continues to work as one of the most renowned restaurants in the place, with the name "San Marco". The name "San Marco" comes from the first barrier connecting Valun to the town of Cres.
