GENERAL INFORMATION AND LOCATION

Ubli is a village located on the western side of the island of Lastovo, 10 km from the town of Lastovo. It belongs to the southernmost county in Croatia, Dubrovnik-Neretva County. There is a ferry and catamaran line from Split, and it can also be reached by bus.

HISTORY, CULTURE

This settlement reached its peak in the 4th century, consisting of farm buildings, and the Christian Basilica of St. Peter in Ubli testifies to the fact that the stability of life in this area extended even during the affirmation of Christianity.

BEACHES

The crystal clear sea on the island of Lastovo attracts tourists from all over the world. Nearby bays surrounded by dense pine forests have beautiful and well-maintained beaches, and in the village itself you can visit the concrete beach Pionir, which is suitable for children and adults, and there is also a tavern nearby.

This beautiful village is the heart of Lastovo's gastronomy. You can visit the tavern-pizzeria "Pece" which offers a rich gastronomic offer as well as a magnificent view of the Lastovo archipelago, there is also the bistro "Domine" which houses a hostel and apartments.

In addition to water activities, you can also enjoy hiking or cycling. There is an old forest road Ubli-Lastovo, and there are also cycling trails.

SIGHTSEEING/EXCURSIONS

In addition to sightseeing this fairy-tale village and the entire island, which offers beautiful bays, beaches, and breathtaking scenery, you can also go on individual one-day tours of neighboring islands. There are boat connections from Lastovo to other islands (Korčula, Hvar) and to the mainland.
