Konoba Bracera | Table by the Sea, Pine Shade, and View of Postira Bay

Konoba Bracera is situated on the eastern side of Postira, by the sea and a small beach in the Zastivonje area. Unlike the restaurants on the waterfront, this location is free from the crowds of strollers and the noise of the town centre. The terrace is positioned right above the sea, shaded by pines, giving the whole space a more relaxed and somewhat secluded character.

It takes just a few minutes to reach the konoba from the centre of Postira with a leisurely walk along the coast. The location is what most visitors notice first. The tables closest to the sea are literally just a few metres from the beach, and the view stretches across Postira Bay towards the mainland. It is particularly pleasant during lunch when the terrace remains in natural shade.

The menu is based on Dalmatian cuisine. Offerings include fresh fish, squid, octopus, risottos, shellfish, grilled dishes, and several meat specialities. Among the dishes frequently ordered by guests are black risotto, octopus salad, grilled squid, and prawns, while meat lovers often opt for lamb or classic grilled dishes.

What sets Bracera apart from many restaurants in Postira is the feeling of being slightly away from the main tourist flows. While it can be challenging to find a free table in the centre, here lunch or dinner unfolds at a slower pace. The sea is just below the terrace, and it is not uncommon to see bathers who, after spending several hours on the beach, come for lunch without needing to leave the bay.

In the evening, the place takes on a special atmosphere. The sun slowly descends towards the west, the light reflects off the surface of the sea, and the terrace becomes one of the more pleasant spots for dinner with a glass of Brač wine. There is no loud music or evening entertainment – the emphasis is on the location, the view, and the relaxed Dalmatian ambience.

Konoba Bracera will particularly appeal to visitors looking for a meal by the sea, a little further from the main promenade, in an environment that resembles a small family konoba rather than a typical tourist restaurant.
