BASIC INFORMATION AND LOCATION
Pašman is a settlement and municipality on the island of the same name, in the Zadar archipelago. According to the latest census, it has 2,082 inhabitants. Most of the inhabitants are traditionally engaged in fishing and agriculture, and more recently in tourism. The island of Pašman is connected to the mainland on two sides, from Biograd and Zadar. From Biograd, you can reach the island of Pašman directly by ferry to the town of Tkon, which takes about 15 minutes, and from Zadar to Preko on the island of Ugljan. Pašman and Ugljan are connected by a bridge, so arriving from the island of Ugljan is not a problem. These two islands are connected by bus lines on the route Tkon - Preko, which are coordinated with almost all ferry lines on both sides.
CULTURE, HISTORY AND ATTRACTIONS
The place was inhabited in Roman times, and was first mentioned in 1067 by King Petar Krešimir IV under the name “Postimana”. The place houses the churches of St. Roch and St. Anthony, and the Parish Church of the Birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary from the 19th century. The Otus site is located in the southern part of the western coast of the Island of Pašman. Otus preserves an example of the early emergence of the country culture in our region. The summer house was built at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries. The building “Kaštelin” (as the locals call it today) served as a shelter for people and material resources from attacks by Adriatic pirates. The locals call the second ruined building “Arsenal”, but its true purpose is unknown.
BEACHES
The town has two sandy beaches and several small harbors with safe moorings. Jasenice beach with a paved and sandy part, enriched on one side with tennis and volleyball courts and an old-fashioned "bocce court".
