Sveti Rok Beach in Pučišća | Paved Town Beach by the Old Chapel

Sveti Rok Beach is situated on the southern side of the Pučišća bay, a few minutes' walk from the town center, directly beneath the chapel of Saint Rok, after which the entire coastal area is named. Due to its location by the bay and the view of the stone houses of Pučišća, this spot offers a good representation of the town's character and typical Brač stone architecture.

The beach is mostly paved with stone surfaces for sunbathing, while there are smaller pebbly and rocky areas for entering the water. Because of the arranged stone slabs, many people come here for longer swims as there is no need to search for a spot on the pebbles. The entry into the sea is easy, and the water quickly deepens along the shore, making the beach suitable for swimming and jumping into the water.

The water is very clean and clear, especially in the morning when the entire Pučišća bay is completely calm. Since the beach is located within the bay, there are no large waves or strong sea currents, making swimming pleasant throughout the day.

One part of the beach is in the sun for most of the day, while there are some shaded areas near the stone walls and a few trees. As a result, many people combine sunbathing on the paved section with occasional breaks by the edge of the beach.

Just above the shore, there is a small chapel of Saint Rok, which gives the area a distinctive appearance. The stone steps, old walls, and the view of the Pučišća bay make this part of the town quite different from typical organized urban beaches.

Accessing Sveti Rok is straightforward on foot from the center of Pučišća through coastal streets and promenades. It is possible to drive close to the beach, but parking is not organized directly by the sea, so most people leave their cars a few minutes away.

There are no beach bars or large hospitality facilities at the beach, which suits those looking for a simple swimming spot without too much noise and activity around the shore.
