The parish (Suburbium ad Pilas) is dedicated to St. Andrew, the apostle, located only half a mile west of the city walls. In the archival writings the church was mentioned in 1286 and its construction was completed in 1349. The present form of the church was upgraded in 1512. The original pre-Romanesque church from the 10th century becomes the apse of the new church. The pre-Romanesque church was covered with stone slabs. The church was rebuilt in 1894 and 1938, and after the damage in the aggression in 1991, the roof, interior and bell tower were restored. The church is small in size (only 75.50 m2) and is approached from three sides by relatively narrow stairs.
