Rogovo is a large estate donated by the Croatian King Petar Kresimir IV to the Benedictine monastery of Sv. Ivan in Biograd. In the town of Rogovo, a church was built in the 11th century. After the demolition of Biograd in 1126, the Benedictines moved their abbey to Ćokovac, and at that time the church in Rogovo was probably destroyed. It was later rebuilt by Peter Zadranin in the 14th century to and again demolished and abandoned during the Turkish invasions.A Gothic wooden carved crucifix with a life-size Christ figure is located in the church of St. Roko in Rogovo. The crucifix has Romanesque features and dates from before the rebuilding of the monastery in the 14th century.
