The story of the family tradition dates back to 1929, from Mr. Ivan Rudenjak, a pioneer and visionary, a doyenne of catering in Dubrovnik and beyond. Mr. Rudenjak has catering in his blood. He was the first in the Dubrovnik area to purchase vending machines for juices and ice cream production, to "cover" all performances of the Dubrovnik Summer Games for 22 years at the beginning of the 60's with juices and soft drinks. He also had a "bianco bar" on the walls of Dubrovnik. Ivo Rudenjak is also the first Dubrovnik man to have his restaurant open during the winter months.
