Konoba Aquila in Pučišća | Large Terrace by the Sea Near the Town Center

Konoba Aquila is situated by the sea, along the road leading to the center of Pučišća and just a few minutes' walk from the waterfront. Unlike restaurants located within the narrow stone streets of the old town, this one can be accessed directly by car without navigating through the town center. Parking is available along the road and near the restaurant, although it can be quite full during the evenings in July and August.

The majority of the restaurant features a large open terrace by the sea with views of the Pučišća bay. The tables are spaced out, making the area feel more spacious than most restaurants on the waterfront. Due to its open position, the terrace remains breezy even during warmer evenings, and the atmosphere is generally quieter than in the main square of the town center.

The menu is based on classic Dalmatian cuisine without modern interpretations or excessive food presentation. Offerings include fresh fish, squid, tuna steak, octopus under peka, steak, lamb, black risotto, and homemade pasta. They also serve cold appetizers such as prosciutto, cheeses, olives, and fish spreads, while peka requires prior reservation.

The kitchen operates at a slower pace, so dinner here typically takes longer, which aligns with the restaurant's concept. The place functions more as a traditional Dalmatian restaurant for dining by the sea rather than a fast pizzeria or a high-turnover restaurant.

For drinks, they offer local wines, homemade brandies, beer, and a standard selection of cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages. The wine list is primarily based on Dalmatian labels that pair well with fish and meat dishes.

During the peak season, the restaurant can be quite busy in the evenings, but due to the large terrace, it is usually easier to find a table than in smaller restaurants directly on the waterfront. Konoba Aquila is suitable for those seeking a quieter dinner by the sea while still being close enough to the center of Pučišća.
